UPPAbaby Vista V2 vs V3: What's the Difference?

Since its debut almost 20 years ago (2006, whoa!), the UPPAbaby Vista stroller has seen small upgrades with each version but has not changed much overall. The Vista remains one of the most popular strollers due to its durability, timeless design, and modular capability that can comfortably stroll 1-3 kids making it perfect for growing families.

The Vista V2 debuted almost 5 years ago (2020) and UPPAbaby Vista V3 was released October 2024 so we will break down the difference between the two models along with similarities and differences to help you narrow down your search and find the stroller that fits your unique needs.

While supplies last, you can save some serious $$ on the Vista V2 since it will soon be replaced by the Vista V3 lineup. A quick but important note that I want to point out before we get too far into this article: V3 Rumbleseat are compatible with Vista V2 strollers if all V2+ Rumbleseats are sold out, don’t panic!

Pricing + What’s in the Box:

Vista V2 starting price: $999.00

Includes: Bassinet, Bumper bar, Rain Cover, Bug Cover, Bassinet Cover, Storage Bag

Additional accessories can be purchased separately to make it the stroller of your dreams.

Vista V3
starting price: $899.00

Includes: Bumper Bar, Seasonal Seat Liner, Bug Shield, Rain Shield, Seat Storage Bag.

You’ll notice that the bassinet is no longer included in the purchase price of the Vista stroller. If you love the concept of a bassinet, don’t you worry, it’s available to purchase separately! They also made some sweet upgrades to the bassinet that you won’t find on the Vista V2.

What we LOVE about the new V3:

All Weather Toddler Seat with Magnetic Release Harness

We all agree that summer heat is scorching and winter is bone chilling, right? UPPAbaby has revamped their entire toddler seat to make it more breathable or cozy depending on the season. The seat now features a mesh backing that allows for breezy airflow during the summer months and a seat liner that’ll block the mesh backing and provide warmth and comfort for your little one during the winter months. Simply snap-on and snap-off makes it easy to transition during fall/spring when the weather can go from one extreme to another in a matter of hours.

In addition to the seat revamp, UPPAbaby Vista V3 is equipped with a magnetic harness clip to make getting your little one in & out SO MUCH EASIER! It’s the little things.

Extra Long Canopy

UPPAbaby has redesigned their canopy to include an extension to provide even more coverage from weather conditions to protect your toddler from the sun or dampen wind speeds.

Bigger Capacity for Rumbleseat

Rumbleseat’s maximum weight limit has increased to 40 lbs! The rumbleseat attaches to the bottom of the tandem stroller allowing longer usage for the older kiddo on the bottom, which is a win in our book!

Improved Suspension, Wheels, and Design

Suspensions are an upgrade that we cannot visually see but it offers a smoother ride and an easier push for parents on uneven surfaces and all-terrains.

Wheels have a visual change along with an overall lighter, never flat, tire which is stated to help with the push part of strolling when faced with rough terrain. The re-design of the wheels also includes reflective markings on the wheel to make the stroller more visible when the sun goes down. Stroll safely!

UPPAbaby’s design team has been busy! Small changes that make the UPPAbaby visually more sleek and modern include: Rivets are now hidden and located on the inside frame of the stroller, chrome accent in handlebar, leather zipper pulls, new feel to the canopy and more.

Which One Should You Choose?

If you're looking for a versatile and durable stroller system, both the UPPAbaby Vista V2 and V3 are great options. However, the V3 has noticeable upgrades that’ll keep the stroller a strong contender as one of the top selling strollers in 2024 and beyond. Many of the features were made as a direct feedback from parents and their Vista V2 so you’ll be getting the latest iteration of the Vista stroller with all the bells and whistles.

Despite all the bells and whistles, UPPAbaby Vista V2 is still a very solid stroller that offers features that are comparable with other top selling strollers that were released in the last 1-2 years. It is currently on sale for 20% off as UPPAbaby offloads Vista V2 inventory to transition fully to Vista V3 and the V2 will be sold out everywhere very soon.

Overall, we recommend the UPPAbaby Vista V3 for most families. However, if you're looking to save some cash, the UPPAbaby Vista V2 is still a great option.
